Is it possible that it is a windows update that has messed with my devices or something? I looked for a driver, but couldn't find it. I just tried my mic on my iPad, so I know it's not the actual microphone that's the problem. I have restarted myĬomputer, updated my recording programs and my Windows version. (Sorry about that extra info.) When I listen to playback to see where the sound is coming from, it is the mic on my computer and not my actual mic.
Now, it is not showing up on my computer, and I have lines I need to send in. This has only been a recent problem: a bit more than a week ago, I submitted an audition for a voice acting job and got in. I have scanned for devices, and done troubleshooting (I think it was the right category?) Inįact, when I plug it in the Dolby audio pops up, so it seems that it is being recognized as headphones. My computer is not registering my microphone. I have looked pretty much everywhere for a solution.
Something about shutting the PC down scrambles the interface and it won't work again until it's unplugged/replugged. When I restart the computer and open iTunes first it doesn't playback at all. Any suggestions to get the Audiobox USB working in Reaper without having to unplug/replug it to the computer?Īddendum: It turns out it's not just a Reaper issue.
It's been maddening that I can't find any other solution via software settings in either windows 10 or reaper. This works until the computer is restarted at which point I have to unplug.replug the interface to get it to work again. The simplest thing that works is closing the reaper project and unplugging and replugging in the USB cable on the interface. I've tried a variety of audio settings in reaper without much success.
The interface also has the latest firmware version and I'm using Windows 10. I'm using a a Presonus Audiobox USB and the latest Presonus Control Center.
I'm getting "Error opening devices" message when opening reaper projects in reaper 6.11.
